Love my 2 shirts
I bought 2 shirts since I knew I would have to wear them for 5-6 months after my shoulder surgery. They are very comfortable because they are 100% cotton & the snaps make it so easy for my husband to help me wear the ice cuff under the shirt & my sling over the shirt simultaneously. Great design!!

Best shirt for use after rotator cuff surgery
My husband required rotator cuff surgery. I worried about how I was going to help him get dressed I decided to search for shirts that were easy to get on. I love this shirt. It’s easy to help him put on without hurting his shoulder.

Love this shirt!
I ordered this shirt because I fell and broke my arm. Getting any shirt on without pain is next to impossible. Each time I go to the Dr., they want new exrays. Of course this means coming out of my shirt. Now I can just unsnap the sleeve across the shoulder, and I'm good to go. Everyone at the Dr. office loves the shirt too. My Dr said he wished all his patience would buy these. 'Thanks for making a difficult time a little easier!

Perfect post rotator cuff surgical shirt
I never could have taken care of my husband after his surgery without this shirt. It was perfect, even the surgical nurses were happy with the shirt. When he was hot, I unsnapped part, for his body to cool and breathe. The snaps are enclosed so they did't bother him. Though he could wear a medium, I bought a large, which was perfect. 5'8, 170 lbs, no fat and the large worked well, remember there's a large amount of dressing over the shoulder. Easy on, easy off, it also made washing him easy.

FAQs

Anything where getting dressed becomes the unexpected hard part. Our tops are built for shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair, heart and cardiac surgery, gallbladder removal, appendectomy, and back surgery — anywhere you need to avoid raising your arms or pulling clothes overhead. Our bottoms are built for hip replacement, knee replacement, ACL repair, and any lower body surgery where bending restrictions make regular pants a daily struggle.

You'll be in a sling and dressing one-handed for weeks. Our Recovery Tees open from the front or sides so you never have to lift your arms overhead. The Dual Side Access and Full Tearaway styles are the most popular for shoulder recovery — they get on and off without any overhead motion at all. We'd recommend at least 2-3 shirts so you're not doing laundry one-handed between every wear.

After chest or abdominal surgery, raising your arms and pulling a shirt over your head is painful and sometimes not allowed. Our front-opening and tearaway tops go on without any reaching or stretching across your incision. The soft fabric sits comfortably over surgical sites without irritation.

Your surgeon will tell you not to bend past 90 degrees. That makes regular pants, shorts, and underwear surprisingly difficult. Our Easy Day Pants, Pajama Pants, and Shorts all have wide elastic waists and relaxed legs that pull on without bending. The Easy Day Boxer Briefs are designed the same way. Most people don't think about this until they're home from the hospital trying to get dressed — plan ahead.

Yes — and your PT will appreciate it. Our tops give quick access to surgical sites without undressing. Our bottoms pull up easily before and after exercises. They look like normal clothes, so you can go from a therapy appointment to picking up groceries without feeling like you're wearing medical gear.

A big t-shirt still goes over your head. Sweatpants still require bending to pull on. Regular clothes weren't designed around surgical restrictions. Ours open where they need to — sides, front, shoulders — so you can dress independently without breaking your movement restrictions or relying on someone else to help.

Unisex pieces have a relaxed fit that works for everyone. Women's pieces like the Independence Tee and Freedom Dress are cut for a more feminine shape. Men's sizing runs broader in the shoulders and longer in the torso. If you're between sizes, go up — you want room for swelling, bandages, and comfort, not a snug fit.

Most people underestimate this. You'll be changing more often than usual — sweating from medication, spilling because you're one-handed, or just wanting something fresh. We'd recommend at least 3 tops for upper body surgery or 3 bottoms for lower body surgery. That gives you enough to rotate without doing laundry every other day, which is hard to manage during recovery.

Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Every piece is built for frequent washing — the snaps, zippers, and fabric all hold up because we know these aren't clothes you wear once a week. They're daily recovery wear.

Start with the surgery type. Shoulder, rotator cuff, heart, or upper body surgery — go with our Recovery Tees or the bundled Shoulder Surgery Kit. Hip, knee, or lower body — go with Easy Day Pants or the Hip & Knee Kit. If you're not sure about size, go one size up. Or grab a gift card and let them choose exactly what they need.
