About NYU Langone Orthopedics

NYU Langone Orthopedics cares for people through every kind of bone, joint, and muscle surgery — shoulder and rotator cuff repair, hip and knee replacement, spine, and sports injuries — and follows them all the way through rehabilitation. On its own website, the program describes itself as “Pioneers in Orthopedic Treatment, Partners in Your Recovery.” Much of that recovery happens at home, in the weeks after you leave the hospital.

We built our recovery clothing for exactly those weeks, and we would be proud to partner with NYU Langone so care teams have one clear place to point patients and families. Partnership pending NYU Langone approval

Why we’d share Inspired Comforts with our patients

Recovery after orthopedic surgery happens mostly at home, next to your rehabilitation plan — not instead of it. Some patients find the everyday parts harder than they expected: getting dressed with one arm in a sling, or pulling on pants without bending a new hip past the limit the surgeon set. Inspired Comforts makes clothing designed for those weeks.

We’d share it the way we share any practical resource — as one option among many, so patients and families have somewhere to start. It is not a product NYU Langone sells, and pointing to it is not a paid endorsement. For anything about your surgery or recovery plan, your care team comes first.

What recovery asks of you

The weeks after surgery have their own rules

Your surgeon will give you the real ones. In the meantime, most orthopedic recoveries share a few: don’t raise the operated arm, don’t bend a new joint past its limit, dress from a chair, and keep the incision reachable for physical therapy. Regular clothes fight all of that. These are made to work with it.

Designed for recovery

What this clothing does

Dress without lifting the arm

Shoulder snaps and full-side openings mean you slip a top on one arm at a time — nothing goes over your head.

Fits over a brace or cast

Side-snap pants open flat and close around a knee brace, cast, or bandaging without a struggle.

One-handed and seated-friendly

Designed to put on while seated or lying down, on the days bending and balancing are not options.

Opens flat for PT

The same snaps that dress you open flat so a therapist can reach the joint — no undressing in the waiting room.

For the things the hospital doesn’t provide

NYU Langone takes care of your surgery, your follow-ups, and your rehab plan. Recovery clothing — tops you can get into with one arm, pants that fit over a brace — isn’t something a hospital hands you. That’s what we make. If your care team points you here, this is why: one place to find comfortable recovery wear for everything you’ll get dressed in at home.
